Gibraltar showed no signs of fatigue coming into this game based on the amount of games they have played over the weekend. Peyton Pluff lead the way for the Vikings with 17 points in the first half with Sheridan Ash putting up 8 of her own. The Vikings outsized the Wildcats scoring many points in the paint. Pluff and freshman Abigail Sitte also were able to knock down long 3-pointers to end the half extending the Gibraltar lead to 11.
The Wildcats of West Green Bay struggled in the first half, committing 7 turnovers resulting in Gibraltar points. The Wildcats have seen bright spots from freshmen Teaja Morrow, and sophomore Antonia King, but for the most part were out-rebounded and outsized with the Vikings who have been able to use that to their advantage both on offense and on defense as well.
The Wildcats had a nice start to the second half starting off with back-to-back three pointers by Jazzlynn Koeller. This cut the lead to in half to 38-32 with 15:00 to go in the half. However, Gibraltar would hang onto the lead and maintain a 9 point differential for the remainder of the 2nd half. Head coach Josh Kropuenske loves the depth his team has and it was on display during this game.
