Law enforcement officials from Kewaunee, Algoma, and Luxemburg teamed up with local families in need on Saturday to shop for families in need this holiday season. The campaign was widespread all throughout the state of Wisconsin on Saturday. Kewaunee County Sherriff Matt Joski said that this experience was humbling due different decisions made by kids when shopping.
Joski also mentioned that he has some incredible deputies that have taken over leadership of this program and his main job during the event was to participate with his assigned child.
This year’s event was able to sponsor five kids from the Luxemburg School District, five from Kewaunee and five from Algoma. Those 15 kids met a law enforcement officer who became their shopping buddy to purchase gifts for family members at local stores.
