Students from all three Kewaunee County high schools spent a portion of their Friday afternoon bringing joy to the residents at the Algoma Long Term Care Unit. Assisting with the radio stations of DoorCountyDailyNews.com’s Project Poinsettia, the students distributed over 40 flowers from Stodola’s IGA to the very residents they worked with during their clinical studies with Northeast Wisconsin Technical College’s Luxemburg Regional Center. ALTCU Recreation Director Melissa Yedica says the residents enjoy having visitors.
Luxemburg-Casco senior Christine Magnin says it was a great experience to see the residents she helped when she performed her clinical there.
The radio stations of DoorCountyDailyNews.com will also distribute hundreds of more poinsettias in the coming days to residents at Door County Medical Center and Anna’s Healthcare thanks in part to the kindness of local businesses.
