Students in Kewaunee County are close to being able to get the hands-on technical training they need regardless of which school district they call home. First introduced last August, the Ahnapee Regional Technical Academy will allow students to participate in a cooperative program involving Kewaunee’s new agricultural center, Algoma’s Wolf Tech Lab for manufacturing, and Luxemburg-Casco’s facilities for software development.
Algoma Superintendent Nick Cochart says the program addresses the problems many of the local school districts are facing.
Luxemburg-Casco Superintendent Glenn Schlender calls it a tremendous opportunity for students.
The Ahnapee Regional Technical Academy will be part of the discussion at the next Kewaunee County Business and Education Summit in Algoma on December 13 beginning at 8:30 a.m.
