Mike Pennel of the Green Bay Packers has been suspended without pay for the team’s next four games for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse, according to a statement released by an NFL Spokesperson.
Pennel’s suspension begins immediately. He will be eligible to return to the Packers’ active roster on Monday, January 2 following the team’s January 1 game against the Detroit Lions.
Because of the confidentiality of the process, the Packers will not have any comment on this matter.
