The recount of Presidential ballots in Door County is now complete. Other than a few votes changing hands, President-elect Donald Trump still carried the county. Praising her workers that finished the recount in just four days, county clerk Jill Lau says discrepancies in the final count were not caused by machine errors.
The cost to the county for the recount expects to be less than originally forecasted because it was finished three days ahead of schedule. Green Party candidate Jill Stein called for the recount to begin last week, alleging possible discrepancies in the votes tallied during this past November’s Presidential election.
