Sunday’s Winter Weather Advisory was a reminder to motorists to prepare for slippery spots and plow trucks on area roads this season. The storm featured between one and three inches of snow in Door and Kewaunee Counties, making it one of the first accumulating snowfalls of this season. With its trucks ready for another busy winter, Door County Highway Commissioner John Kolodziej says its salt supplies are in excellent shape.
The National Weather Service has two chances of snow possible for later this week. Kolodziej says it has room in the budget still for the end of the calendar year just in case it is a busy and snowy month.
