The Door County Habitat for Humanity is looking to acquire more land for its home build programs. The non-profit organization’s board of directors recently voted to set up a task force to look for buildable lots in the county. Executive Director David Van Dyke says they are currently working with many municipalities including the city of Sturgeon Bay to find cost-effective parcels for the organization.
Van Dyke hopes the Common Council will approve its counter offer for a Sturgeon Bay parcel near the former WireTech site for its next home build, which would mark its 40th house in its history.
