Interested candidates for municipal and school board seats can begin circulating their nomination papers in advance of the spring primary and election. In Door County, the head of 13 different towns and villages will be up for a vote along with numerous seats on area school boards. Town of Liberty Grove Clerk Janet Johnson advises interested candidates to make sure they have all of their forms filled out ahead of time and the 20 signatures required to run.
Prospective candidates have until January 3rd at 5 p.m. to submit their nomination papers, which can be picked up at your local municipal office. The spring primary is scheduled for February 21 before the election takes place on April 4.
