Federal and state aid for area veterans could potentially mean millions of dollars flowing locally every year. According to Kewaunee County Administrator Scott Feldt, aid to its 1,437 veterans reaches $10.3 million in benefits annually through the different programs available through the County Veterans Service Office. Feldt says even with the great work the county’s CVSO Jane Babcock and secretary Tara LaCrosse do, many veterans are not getting the services they deserve.
