The Packers defense is so depleted that the “next man up” mentality just cannot get it done anymore. On Sunday Night Football, Washington exploited an inexperienced defensive secondary en route to a 42-24 victory.
Aaron Rodgers had a solid day statistically. He threw for 351 yards, three touchdowns and was the team’s leading rusher with 33 yards. Jared Cook had a statement game tallying six receptions for 105 yards and a touchdown.
Wind was a big factor in Washington last night. It is certainly not an excuse as the Redskins played in the same conditions. The Packers tailspin has continued and now includes a four game losing streak. At (4-6) the playoffs are still a possibility but a lengthy winning streak will need to take place first.
The team next travels to Philadelphia on the 28th for Monday Night Football.
