The shelves are completely stocked and the Kewaunee County Food Pantry is ready for the holiday season. The pantry, which currently serves about one hundred and sixty families a month, has big plans for their December distribution dates. Kewaunee County Food Pantry President Ken Marquardt explains that more than food will be given away next month.
Marquardt says over the last three to four months, there has been an increase in the amount of people using the food pantry. He believes when Algoma Hardwoods starts with their layoffs that the pantry will continue to see an increase in demand.
