According to Kewaunee County Sheriff Matt Joski seatbelt usage has been a major factor in Wisconsin seeing its third safest October for drivers since World War Two. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation just released the encouraging stats that said the number of October traffic fatalities was 43. Sheriff Joski comments on positive changes he has seen while patrolling the roads of Kewaunee County.
Joski also believes that great strides have been made in respect for and enforcement of drunk driving laws. Joski is glad the roads are safer because of these changes, but he acknowledged that there is still plenty of work to be done in attempting to thwart distracted driving.
