Drivers at the pump received good news this week as gasoline prices in the area dipped below $2.00 per gallon. The average price of regular unleaded gasoline in the Sturgeon Bay has dropped about twenty cents in the past month with some stations showing $1.99 per gallon on their marquees. Parv Jandu of Jandu Petroleum explains what he heard for the falling prices.
Jandu says lower prices for gas comes at a good time for deer hunters and holiday travelers in the next week. The average price per gallon in Wisconsin one year ago was $2.26, according to gasbuddy.com. This is the first time area gas prices have been lower than $2.00 per gallon since last April.
