The village of Egg Harbor received good news when the Door County Community Foundation announced earlier this week that it was nearing its goal for a new library and community center. Thanks in part to a $1 million match challenge by Campaign Leadership Team member Carol Kress and her husband Don and an anonymous $1 million donation, the total funds raised for the project now stands at over $5 million. Village administrator Ryan Heise says a lot of work still needs to be done before the project can break ground.
The Door Community Foundation and the Campaign Leadership Team is still looking to raise at least $1 million for the project. The newly named Kress Pavilion will house a state of the art library, business center, and event space.
