The city of Sturgeon Bay’s Waterfront Design Review Board is no more. The Common Council voted unanimously in consecutive meetings to amend Section 20.43 of the Municipal Code to include areas of redevelopment on the waterfront. The move may have eliminated the committee, but it will also allow for two new members to be added to the current Aesthetic Design and Site Plan Review Board.
The Common Council also approved the #JustFixItWI resolution, asking state officials to do more when it comes to finding sustainable transportation funding solutions. The Sturgeon Bay Fire Department will also be allowed purchase a new fire truck with additional equipment using budgeted dollars and proceeds from the sale of one of its current vehicles.
