On this Veterans Day, Kewaunee County Sheriff Matt Joski is readying himself to re-enlist in the military, at age 47. Joski, a Marine Corp veteran, is in the midst of finalizing his contract with the Army and hopes to be sworn in next week. One key interaction helped lead Sheriff Joski to the realization that this re-enlistment would be a worthwhile decision.
The process has taken a lot of dedication from Joski, who has been waking up early to work on his conditioning.
He said that because of his service in the Marines, he lives his life by the rule that every day “is a bonus”. Once the process is finalized Joski plans to be attached to a Wisconsin National Guard unit in northeast Wisconsin.
