The goal at the Boys and Girls Club of Door County was to prevent summer learning loss. That goal was surpassed easily, as the group of kids taking summer classes tested higher after the summer than they had before. Summer learning loss is nothing new to those in the education system, as many students show up for the new school year having lost a little of their academic skill set. Boys and Girls Club CEO Julie Davis details the findings of their test scores.
The Boys and Girls Club of Door County is currently serving over 200 kids per day between their two sites. For more information visit bgcdoorcounty.org.
