An anti-domestic violence program currently being run in the Fox Valley will be spreading to Door County if all goes according to plan. HELP of Door County CEO Steve Vickman recently attended the “Voices of Men” breakfast in Appleton. Vickman is putting in the legwork to bring that program to Door County, in hopes that it will help stop domestic violence locally.
Vickman currently is attempting to wrangle up enough community support to make the Door County version a reality. The Fox Valley conference is attended by roughly a thousand men and was held on November 2nd at the Radisson Paper Valley. The purpose of the breakfast to equip men with ways to own the domestic violence problem and stand against the culture that can lead to it, according to Vickman.
