The Green Bay Packers have signed fullback Joe Kerridge to the active roster from the practice squad and released safety Jermaine Whitehead. The transactions were announced Monday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.
Kerridge, a 6-foot, 245-pound rookie out of the University of Michigan, originally signed with the Washington Redskins as an undrafted free agent on May 5. After being released by Washington on Sept. 3, he was briefly on the Redskins’ practice squad. Kerridge was signed to the Packers’ practice squad on Oct. 3. He will wear No. 40 for the Packers.
