Santa Claus may be well over a month away, but consumers can start planning now on how to tackle their holiday shopping season. The National Retail Federation expects sales to increase 3.6 percent in November and December 2016, with American consumers earmarking an average over $935 for holiday shopping. Gay Pustaver from Money Management Counselors says it is normal this time of year to have stress with the bills that come with shopping.
Pustaver suggests thinking outside of the box for gift giving this year such as memberships to area attractions and tickets to special events.
