Within the next week, the redeveloped Main Street in the village of Luxemburg will be lit up, culminating the multi-month construction project. Crews have been working on the project since shortly after the Kewaunee County Fair ended as they replaced sewer pipes and improved sidewalks and curbs. Village President Ken Tebon says lighting and other aesthetic improvements should be done soon, which is impressive given the obstacles crews faced.
Tebon says the project has helped spur additional development in the village, including two new buildings near downtown on Commerce Drive.
