At the Boys and Girls Club of Door County sometimes a tomato is more than a tomato. That is because the organization has increasingly incorporated their garden into the programming. Boys and Girls Club CEO Julie Davis describes why the garden has become such an asset for her program.
The garden has been a huge success with the kids. It is ideas like this that enable Davis to say that her club is “more than babysitting”. For more information on the Boys and Girls Club of Door County, visit bgcdoorcounty.org.
