Three Green Bay Packers along with United Way volunteers and Algoma Wolves tech students worked together to put the finishing touches on the new warming house at Peterson Park Tuesday where the new ice skating rink will be featured. Algoma Parks & Rec Director Sara Robertson says the city was approached by the Packers’ outreach coordinator Amanda Wery to apply for a grant to help fund the project.
The NFL Play60 program has football players work on area community projects on their day off during the season. Packer offensive lineman Jason Spriggs says it’s important for him and histeammates to give back to the community.
