Bernard Joseph Paul, Jr., 67, of Sturgeon Bay passed away on October 28, 2016 after a long fought battle with diabetes. He was born December 17, 1948 in Sturgeon Bay to Bernard and Cecilia (Conway) Paul.
Bernie graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1967. After high school, Bernie attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He eventually became a sales representative for several building supply manufacturers.
Survivors include his daughter Christine Peterson, son-in-law Joe Peterson and their two daughters Isabel and Sophia, Minneapolis, Minnesota; his five siblings, Linda Madsen, Sturgeon Bay; Steve Paul, Lindenhurst, Illinois; Mike Paul (and wife Mary Jo), Madison, Wisconsin; David Paul (and wife Cheryl), Sturgeon Bay; Jamie Paul (and partner Justin), Clearwater, Florida; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and brother-in-law Roger Madsen.
A visitation is scheduled for Thursday Nov. 3, 2016 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Forbes Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
