The Green Bay Packers released running back Knile Davis Monday. Per the release, “The transaction was announced Monday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.”
The transaction leaves Don Jackson as the only healthy running back on the active roster. Ty Montgomery was out Sunday with illness. James Starks is still out after meniscus surgery. Eddie Lacy had ankle surgery last week. A move to replace Knile Davis on the active roster will likely come this week before the Packers play the Colts Sunday afternoon.
